Law360 named BFA as a “Legal Lion” for the week after it achieved a sweeping victory for consumers before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Patrick Calhoun et al. v. Google LLC.  According to Law360, BFA and its co-counsel “roared as the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday reversed the dismissal of a proposed class action accusing Google of surreptitiously collecting Chrome browser users’ data, finding that the lower court relied on an incorrect standard in determining whether ‘reasonable’ consumers would think they had consented to the disputed practice.”  The case will now proceed toward trial at the district court.

BFA is serving as Co-Lead counsel on behalf of Chrome users together with Simmons Hanly Conroy LLP and Dicello Levitt LLP.  Gupta Wessler LLP participated in the appeal.
