BFA Is Only Firm to Have Two Settlements in ISS’s Top 10 2022 Securities Settlements
In 2022, BFA’s $420 million settlement with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Ltd. appeared as number two in ISS Securities Class Action Services’ list of the Top U.S. Shareholder Class Actions of 2022. With BFA’s $129 million settlement with Granite Construction, Inc., BFA was the only law firm to place twice on ISS’s Top 10 settlement list for 2022 as sole lead counsel.
BFA’s 2022 rankings follow its long history of repeatedly placing in the top 10 and 15 in total monetary recoveries each year in securities class actions. Indeed, in ISS’s recently updated report titled The Top 100 U.S. Class Action Settlements of All-Time, BFA appears as counsel in three settlements: (1) number 43 with the $420 million settlement with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Ltd.; (2) number 79 with the $240 million settlement with MF Global Holdings Ltd.; and (3) number 83 with the $219 million settlement with Genworth Financial, Inc.
