Background: In Re Google Generative AI Copyright Litigation seeks compensation for visual artists and authors whose registered copyrighted works were used by Google without authorization to train and develop its generative artificial intelligence models. Google is now integrating these models into a growing set of Google products, further monetizing Plaintiffs’ protected works without permission.
